Personality Overview:

Self-Destructive:He has a tendency not to think things through, often resulting in his own shortcomings, or that of anyone involved with him. He's driven more by his heart than mind, more often than not. He mistakes this quality of his as selflessness, desiring to protect anyone close to him.

People Pleaser:Nisshoku is desperate to be liked by people, even going so far as to sacrifice his own principles and beliefs just to get someone to be his friend. He mistakes his quality of his as being a friendly, upbeat person.

Unhinged:Despite how it may seem, one of the best ways to describe Nisshoku would be as a Maniac. He keeps a happy smile on his face, and would come off as a friendly, run-of-the-mill teenager if you first met him. When in reality, he's almost always itching to get his knuckles bloody. BACKGROUND INFO

Familial Information:Nishimiya Kaguya (Mother).Nagareru Hoshigaki (Father).He resembles his mother more often than not, but the slits on his face are gills that never fully formed as a result of his father. He can't breathe out of them, though.

Backstory:
His very conception was seen as an abomination, as the unity of a member of a clan near extinction and someone outside of her own clan was extremely frown upon.
Nishimiya, his mother, faced harsh critique from not only her parents, but those around her as well. She was seen as "easy", while his father, Nagareru, was driven to drink. He couldn't even bear to look at his own son, as he was a constant reminder of one of his greatest mistakes.

No matter how many neighborhoods they skipped, no matter how many times they tried to change appearance, they stuck out like a does thumb.
"Oh! Have you heard about that family? Rumor says that they made a half-breed!"
"That woman is such a harlot, sleeping with someone outside of her own clan!"

Nishimiya was deeply affected by these words, and as one of the last of her clan, she was seen as a failure and reason that the bloodline would die out. Unable to handle the pressure put onto her, Nishimiya took her own life.

Following this, Nagareru would become hostile towards Nisshoku, going on drunken rants about how his mother's death was his fault. Later on in life, Nisshoku hadn't shown any signs of awakening the Shikotsumyaku, Nagareru took it upon himself to sit his son down, quoting that he was "Not good at all."

That was the day Nisshoku snapped, and he began to seem like a much happier person. His father's words didn't effect him much anymore. He didn't seem very depressive after that. He'd become outwardly friendly to everyone he met, and it didn't look like there was even a bit of negativity inside of him. This was also around the time that he showed proficiency in fighting, specifically with his bare hands.

He hadn't grown or matured to know his father's words were meaningless.
He'd just found an outlet.
